The Acoustic Technologies FR17 is a high output 2-way full range speaker system designed for a variety of live sound applications. Taking full advantage of recent advances in loudspeaker technology, the FR17 offers unprecedented audio quality from a speaker in its class.
The FR17 is loaded with two highly efficient 15” low frequency cone transducers and a large format 1.4” exit compression driver coupled to a 70° x 60° elliptical horn flare providing a 1350 Watts Program Power rating.
The complex passive dividing network has been engineered to optimize overall system performance resulting in a loudspeaker system that delivers sound with astounding punch and accuracy from a surprisingly compact enclosure.
The FR17 cabinet is precision crafted from premium grade void free Finnish Birch ply finished in our durable AcoustiCoate elastomer coating. The system components are protected by a visually appealing black powder coated steel grille. A pair of convenient handgrips and castors complete the FR17 package.

The FR17 enclosure is constructed of high quality 18mm Finnish Birch Ply.
The transducers are protected by a rugged expanded steel grille providing a durable, visually appealing finish. The FR17 passive crossover provides a seamless transition between the transducers. The crossover frequency is selected to enhance the already superb performance of the individual components. Great care is taken to ensure that a phase coherent output is maintained across the entire audio bandwidth.
Sensitivity, Maximum Power and SPL measurements are conducted in accordance with the AES 24 Hour Pink Noise Standard. Acoustic Technologies reserve the right to alter or amend the FR17, without prior warning in the interests of product improvement.
