The New Years Eve "Countdown 2010" was again traditionally held at South Pattaya’s Bali Hai Pier, and this year was a big seven day event that ended as it began with beauty contests, celebrities and singers right up to the final midnight countdown with over 500,000 tourists and locals descending on the hot-spot to see in the New Year.
Thai production company Laserwork provided sound for the event and chose to use their 32 cabinet AT Professional Blackbird Line Array System.
Logan Entertainment Centre Foldback Overhaul
The Logan Entertainment Center has purchased a suite of AT Professional products to fulfil the monitor requirements on stage. The system comprises of:
8 x SFM24 low profile stage monitors
2 x SS24 used as side fill
1 x SDM215 drum monitor
7 x HD. 7 Power Amplifiers
as well as 4 x LG04PLUS under-balcony fill speakers for the rear of the venue.
Queensland production company JD Sound has  expanded its range of turnkey systems by adding another FIREBIRD composite line array. Having recently purchased their first FIREBIRD system, the company quickly identified the level of versatility and quality of the system and now have taken the opportunity to run two FIREBIRD systems - meaning they can either have two systems at different stages/events or double up the rigs for larger capacity applications.
The FIREBIRD system takes the same technology used in our TLA308 BLACKBIRD line array system and puts it in a ground stacked, easy to transport and setup format enabling users such as JD Sound to quickly load-in and deliver high performance audio to a large variety of scenarios and event types.
COMING SOON - MK100A - A radical departure from traditional compact loudspeakers...
The revolutionary MK100A has been in development for the last 6 months and is coming very very close to commercial release. The speaker features an Aluminium Planar full range driver, and an unprecedented 130 degree uniform vertical and horizontal dispersion pattern. Targeted a installation environments requiring even, high fidelity sound reproduction such as hospitality environments, retail stores, transportation terminals and offices/boardrooms, the MK100A is compact and discreet and can be colour matched to suit any installed application.
Developed in conjunction with some of Australia's leading acoustic engineers and installation contractors, the MK100 format will be available in both active and passive formats - depending on the demands of the application.
We're really excited about the potential of this product here at AT - so expect to see and hear lots more on this product over the next few months.
A new trademark logo for BLACKBIRD!
With the recent expansion of the BLACKBIRD line array series and the introduction of dedicated BLACKBIRD amplifiers and system processors, the brand now has a new logo, with its own website soon to follow. Although the Blackbird will always be part of the overall AT Professional family, we feel that it has grown into a maturing series of systems that demands its own personal identity!
The Blue Series processors have arrived! 2 models available - the 2.4 and 4.8 systems offer control over crossover, equaliser, dynamics, gain and time alignment and feature pc or laptop control via USB or RJ 45 network connection.
The Blue Series is a new product stream for AT with these processors providing a professional loudspeaker management platform.
