“The Jubilee Hotel is a recently refurbished pub, maintaining its old school charms while at the same time presenting a modern take on food and beverage. About the AV:

Bruce Forbes from FEDS (Forbes Electrical and Data Services) approached the owners of the Jubilee in early 2013 to supply and install a state of the art sound and video system that will service the venue properly moving forward.

Bruce chose a range of LG series speakers in different impedances and colours to match the various rooms and locations. For example, the front corner bar benefits from 5 LG03’s in white matching the roof and cornice colour for background music and race commentary while a pair of high power LG09’s in white and a BB03.5 on the ground provide enough volume for the multipurpose standing and dance floor space.

Out the back in the deck and beer garden areas there are a number of white LG03’s lining the dining areas and walk ways while over the bar there are LG03’s and LGB03’s in black. Weatherproof LG03’s, LG04’s and LGB03’s in black cover the exposed seating and dance floor areas.

As the venue hosts live entertainment inside and out most nights of the week it was necessary to supply a portable sound system that could deliver the necessary volume but be easy to setup. A pair or SS24 tops and 2 BB03.5 subs with a preconfigured amp rack was the obvious choice, there are a number of designated input connections located around the venue which allow a feed to be sent to the house system to stream audio in any room if required.

All backend amplification is covered by 3 BLACKBIRD 5K quad channel power amplifiers and digital system processing is handled by a Rane HAL matrix. A number of wall mounted controllers throughout the venue allow the staff to easily control the system.
