DESIGN ENGINEER / SENIOR TECHNICIAN
 
We are seeking to employ an Audio Product Development Engineer or a Senior Technician with proven practical experience in electronic equipment design. An academic degree is not a strict prerequisite for this position - practical experience is.

The selected candidate will have a proven ability to take projects from concept to completion and into production and be expected to liaise, in clear precise language, with external engineering sub contractors and suppliers.

Applicants with the following required skills only need apply.

  • Be able to read Block and Schematic Diagrams and relate them to a PCB layouts, wiring looms and other circuit components and sub assemblies.
  • Have practical experience with analogue/audio electronic circuits and with simple discrete logic circuits.
  • Have practical experience with metalwork design and fabrication techniques.
  • Be computer literate and familiar with MS Word, MS Excel and a CAD package.

 
The following bonus abilities would be an advantage but not a necessity.

  •  Knowledge of Loudspeaker Systems.
  •  Experience with SPICE emulation.
  •  Experience with basic graphics work.
  •  Experience with basic HTML.

WEB DEVELOPER / GRAPHIC ARTIST NEW
 
Acoustic Technologies has a full time position available for an experienced web site developer / graphic artist. The successful applicant will have several years practical experience in the preparation of all aspects of print media publication and full scale web site development.
 
 
This position requires a close working relationship with the Acoustic Technologies advertising, marketing and engineering departments to accomplish tasks including:
 
* Develop, maintain and upgrade the company web sites.
* Production of printed advertising material for the company products.
* Production of artwork for magazine publications and advertisements.
* Production of printed product information sheets.
* Production of Owners Manuals and other technical documentation.
 
 
 
The successful applicant will be fluent with a range of software tools including:
 
* Adobe Photoshop.
* Adobe Illustrator and/or Corel Draw.
* Adobe Indesign or similar page layout program.
* Macromedia Dreamweaver.
* Microsoft Office Suite.
 
 
 
To accomplish the position's goals, the successful applicant will have a range of skills and knowledge including:
 
* Superior written English skills - preferably with experience in advertisement copy
   writing, technical writing and product documentation.
* Photographic and artistic ability.
* Experience with print press artwork requirements.
* Web site development - structure and content.
* Experience with Flash Animation and Java Scripting.
* Be able to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
* Have excellent organizational skills and have a keen eye for detail.

CABINET MAKER
 
Acoustic Technologies has a full time position for a fit, healthy, reliable, punctual and honest worker to assist the Woodwork Manager. Tasks associated with the job will include cutting, sanding, sawing, puttying, assembling and finishing a variety of loudspeaker cabinets.

Candidates will need to be qualified in Cabinet Making or Carpentry, be able to work unsupervised, have excellent organization skills, be able to use their initiative, have a high level of accuracy and an eye for detail.

Experience with the following would be an advantage

  • Panel Saw
  • CNC Router
  • Assorted hand operated power tools.
